Why What We Wear Matters as Much as What We Eat 🌿

In recent years, many of us have become more mindful of what we put into our bodies. We read ingredient lists, avoid unnecessary additives, and try to understand how food affects our energy, hormones, and overall health. But there is another layer of daily exposure we often underestimate: what we wear on our skin.

Skin is not just a protective shell. It is a living, responsive organ 🤍 The fabrics we wear sit on it for hours, sometimes all day, absorbing heat, sweat, and movement. Synthetic materials, harsh dyes, and heavily treated fabrics can irritate the skin, limit breathability, and subtly affect how comfortable we feel in our bodies.

That is why healthy living does not stop with nutrition or exercise. It extends to reducing unnecessary stressors wherever possible by choosing materials that feel clean, breathable, and supportive rather than restrictive or abrasive.

When I started paying closer attention to clothing materials, I noticed a common imbalance in the market. Brands that focus on natural or eco fabrics often compromise on design. The pieces may be well intentioned, but they do not feel modern, confident, or inspiring to wear. On the other side, fashion driven brands prioritize aesthetics while overlooking fabric quality and long term comfort.

Finding something that genuinely balances both is rare ✨

What I appreciate about Royal Codes is that the focus starts with how the fabric feels on the body. Their pieces are made primarily from plant based viscose blends with Lycra, designed to be soft, flexible, and breathable, almost like a second skin. Importantly, the fabrics are OEKO TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning they have been tested against hundreds of harmful substances and are considered safe for prolonged skin contact. From a health perspective, that matters.

It is also worth being honest about production realities. Viscose, while plant based, is still a processed fiber, and like most modern textiles, its sustainability depends on how it is produced. Royal Codes does not claim to be a flawless, zero impact brand. What stands out instead is transparency and intention 🌱 The emphasis is on skin safety, durability, and long term wear rather than disposable fashion.

Beyond materials, there is a quiet intelligence in the design. These are not clothes you wear because they are good for you, but because they actually look and feel good. Clean lines, flattering cuts, and a modern aesthetic make the pieces easy to wear from day to night, movement to rest.

There is also something meaningful about supporting a woman owned brand 🤍 One where the female body seems genuinely understood, not idealized, not constrained, but respected. You can feel it in how the clothes move with you instead of against you.

Royal Codes does not feel like a brand trying to sell a lifestyle. It feels like one that understands that conscious living today is about balance, not extremes. Clean materials, thoughtful production choices, and designs that do not ask you to sacrifice style for comfort.

Because caring for yourself does not end with what you eat 🍃

It continues with what touches your skin every day.
